Go for Brother Eddie, the man of God!

I will vote for brother Eddie! May be some of us are wondering why he opted to run for presidency without having run for senatorial...etc... well first of course, according to the constitution, he is eligible. secondly, Brother Eddie has the spirit of Leadership.. if you really captured the true essence of leadership, then you just have to adopt to the different styles or forms of leadership...
to illustrate my point, let me state how Brother Eddie led his church for more than two decades ... he has thousands of pastors under him..worldwide...a leader is not only judged by how many followers he has but also on how many leaders he has... he is very skilled in motivating and inspiring people without bribing or using money... What we need is a true leader. I believe that he can very well lead the country...he has a very clean track record... he has moral ascendancy and fear of the Lord... He is the only candidate who has that...
God is giving us a chance to put into position a leader according to His will...Don't sell your votes and don't let your votes be bought! Enough is enough... if we want change, then go for Brother Eddie! To fellow Christians it's not yet too late...put your trust on the true man of God..don't be afraid... if not brother Eddie. who do you think is more capable of leading righteously?
let's hope and pray that the right candidate will win..
God bless you all...to those who are not for Brother Eddie, please reconsider him just like the others..take time to study his vision and mission... be open and accommodating for viable candidates.

We’ve had lawyers, military men, a widow, an economist, an actor and what have you as President. All had ‘platforms of government’ and at the end, the question is did they deliver as expected? At the start all had something they didnt want with the candidate, even if he had a ‘platform’.
The best of platforms can be made by ‘think tanks’, study groups, seasoned political advisers, etc. The question remains, can the candidate deliver? What is his track record? Can he be trusted?
Why dont we entertain Bro Eddie Vlllanueva? His main theme is ‘righteousness’ which no President to date has ever promised to do. His background speaks for itself, unless one is too PREJUDICED no amount of convincing would do except a sincere prayer. His proof is not the growth but the ‘pastoral care’ extended for millions of our people. Tell me, has there been any presidential candidate who has dedicated years of his life taking care of people, real people, not just speaking about it but really caring for them, their needs, emotional, physical, social, their total well-being?
His experience? Has there any one presidential candidate who has nurtured an organization that more than 3 million Filipinos can trust their families’ well-being with?
Using the name of God? Others obviously used God’s name in vain. Some even say they were told to be the leader of the country but see where they brought the country to? Perhaps that is a clear example of one using God’s name in vain. But is one nurtures people, millions in faith and seeks their well-being, raise their living standard and provides them guidance in this season of life, perhaps indeed God’s name was NOT USED IN VAIN!
Elections are a period of choice.
I have chosen one clearly above the rest – Brother Eddie Villanueva.

Why I am voting for Bro. EDDIE VILLANUEVA for the next Philippine President? I can think of at least 12 reasons:
_____1. He is an idealist. Has been and will always be. This assures us what he said he will definitely do.

_____2. He is a fighter, an activist. He fought for the rights of his family, he fought for the rights of the labor. He was one of those who fought the Marcos regime, the only candidate who did so. He will also fight for us. While PGMA cancelled her miting de avance out of fear for her safety, he dared to show up in every debate and every political rally or meetings when he is physically able.

_____3. PMAP (Personnel Management Association of the Philippines) assessed him through his interview as one who is more qualified than ROCO or LACSON, the edge is that he is a CAPTIVATOR that he can unify all sectors of the society.

_____4. His integrity has been impeccable, this is what the country needs. People don’t trust the government anymore we need a leader who can be a moral example and restore the people’s trust in the government.

_____5. He is an inspiring leader, many columnist like De Quiros of Inquirer who is a known ROCO loyalist also observed that he is an inspiring leader. Thus he can drive the people to volunteerism and really gets the job done.

_____6. He is educated in economics (PUP and UP) and political law (UP) and even the Scriptures. He is also an educator. Disenchanted from Marxism while he taught economics, he became a preacher of righteousness.

_____7. He has led up to 7 Million laity for 25 years. It shows he is a good manager, administrator, and leader. He has managed Zoe 11 TV despite the selective advertisements. Not only that, he also established the JIL Colleges.

_____8. He lives a simple life. For 25 years it would have been tempting to take advantage financially but his life open to everyone shows no hint of financial gain.

_____9. He has no excess political baggage. In this campaign alone he owed no religious leader nor political leaders his candidacy, he owes it to the people who volunteers to support him expecting nothing in return. Muslims as led by a Sultan from Mindanao supports him because the Sultan said, only Villanueva did not approach him to offer him anything. This is also the turning point for Winnie Monsod to throw her support for him.

_____10. He represents new politics. A politics of change, of national moral renewal. In this campaign alone, his supporters bought his campaign gadgets. In many of his forums, the people who support him or those who want to listen, pay for the food and venue expecting nothing in return.

_____11. His health cannot be doubted. In this campaign alone, he travelled by land, sea and air all over the country. He is physically fit for the presidency.

_____12. His run for the presidency is driven by a desire for a moral national renewal than political advancement. This is the very reason why his stance is the presidency or nothing at all. The Presidency is the seat of authority Constitutionally mandated for effectual national change. We are assured that there will be no politicking but a no-nonsense implementation of his highly commended and well thought 10-point program.

I am sure you have your own reasons for your own chosen Presidential candidates. I just hope and pray that the (1) debatable survey results, (2) vain popularity, (3) you-don’t-like-this-one-to-win-so-you-will-vote-for-the-other are not three of those reasons, it is but high time for every Filipino to vote with conviction and conscience. Sa Aking Pagtanda

Ang araw ay lumilipas.. mabilis.. hindi namamalayan..
Para bang kailan lamang ay musmos ako..walang alam. Walang kamalay-malay sa mga nangyayari sa aking paligid.
Wala akong problemang iniisip.
Nakakatulog ako nang mahimbing sa gabi..Hai ang sarap maging bata…
Araw-araw ako ay naglalaro.. Gustong-gusto kong maglaro-sapagkat sa pagkakataong ito lamang ako may kontrol sa mga maaaring mangyari..
Magkamali man ako ng gawin ay maaari ko pang uliting muli hanggang sa maging tama, maaari ko pang uliting muli nang hindi ako nasasaktan- dahil ako ay naglalaro lamang.
Minsan iniisip ko, sana bata na lamang ako habambuhay…Habang ako ay nagkakaisip…tumatanda…
Marami nang nagbago-sa paligid ko, sa sarili ko, at sa pananaw ko sa buhay… tapos na ang oras ko ng paglalaro..
Tapos na ang mga pagkakataong kontrolado ko ang mga maaaring mangyari..
Tapos na ang mga pagkakataong magkamali man ako ay hindi ako masasaktan..
Dahil heto na ako… sa isang larong naiiba..
ang Laro ng Buhay..
Nag-uumpisa pa lamang ako sa larong ito…
At sa pagkakataong ito ay kailangan nang maging seryoso.. bawat kilos ay dapat ingatan..
Sapagkat maaaring ako ay may masaktan..
Nang ako ay nagsimulang magkaisip ay nagsimula na rin akong mangarap…
Mangarap- libre nga naman iyan. Walang bayad.. sa pangangarap ay marami akong puedeng gawin.. walang kahirap-hirap..
Ngunit ang pagsasakatuparan ng mga iyon ay nangangailan ng ibayong lakas ng loob sapagkat sa mundong aking ginagalawan ay maraming hadlang..
Minsan pati ang mga inaakala kong kakampi ko ay siya palang susuwag sa akin..
Ganyan nga naman sa larong ito.. minsan dalawa na lamang ang pupuede kong pagkatiwalaan.. ang Diyos at ang aking sarili…
Ngunit higit kanino man.. Sa Kanya lubos ang aking tiwala… tuluyan din akong masasanay sa larong ito ng buhay… sa larong ito na rin ako tatanda..

At sa aking pagtanda may mga ilang bagay ako na nais makita… May mga pangarap ako na nais makitang naisaatuparan na..
Aaminin kong mataas akong mangarap… Alam ko rin na kaakibat ng mga panagarap na iyon ay ang mabigat na responsibilidad na nakaatang sa aking mga balikat…
Sino pa nga ba ang tutupad ng mga iyon kung hindi ako rin mismo?..
Sa tulong at awa ng Panginoong Diyos.. Mataas man ang aking mga pangarap ay nananatiling simple pa rin ang aking pagkatao…
Ordinaryo lamang akong mamamayan… Ordinaryong tao na nalulungkot, nasasaktan…
Ngunit alam kong sa likod ng aking pagiging ordinaryo ay may nakatago-mga bagay na hindi ko pa nalalaman..
maaaring sa aking sarili at sa mga bagay-bagay sa aking paligid…

Nagpaalam na naman ang taong ito at bumungad na ang susunod…
Isang taon na naman ang maidadagdag sa akin.. tatanda na naman ako…
Nakakalungkot mang isipin pero ni isa man sa aking mga pangarap ay wala pang natutupad.. Nasa kalagitnaan pa lamang ako.. Sa iba naman ako ay nag-uumpisa pa lamang…
Kung hindi ako kikilos, maaaring pagtanda ko wala ni isa man sa aking mga pangarap ang matupad…

Sa aking pagtanda… may isa akong pangarap na hindi na sakop ng aking pagdedesisyon…
nakadepende ito sa Kanya at sa isang tao.
Kung ako ba ang pipiliin niya ay hindi ko alam.. tanging Siya lamang ang may alam..
Ang tangi ko na lamang magagawa sa ngayon ay ang magdasal at umasa
na sana nga ay ako nga… Sa aking pagtanda nais kong makita na magkasama kami..
Masaya..Hai.. tumatanda na nga ba talaga ako at kung anu-ano na ang naiisip ko? Siguro nga…

Sana nga magkatotoo…Sa aking pagtanda…..

Worn-out Pastels

When I was in fourth grade, I joined an art contest in school. It was the first art contest I've ever joined. Unlike the competitors, I only knew the contest the day itself. I wasn't prepared. I didn't have all the materials to be used. But because of my determination, I walked through the corridors and rooms, trying to borrow some of their excess materials which I could use. Then someone handed me -  an old small box of pastel colors - almost used up, and some colors even missing. But with a big smile, I thanked the student for giving it to me. She told me she didn't need it anyway. As I ran back to the room, the contest has begun. Clutching my worn-out pastels, I asked God to help me do my work without running out of colors. Piece by piece, each pastel was, as if, dissolved in my hands. "You can make it." said the voice in my head. Finally, the contest was over. All contest presented their art work. "It's all up to you, Lord." I said. I gave my best, and almost nothing left from  the pastels. I tried not to look at the other participant's work, but I couldn't help it. "They're all nice." Maybe because of their materials; Maybe it added value to it. Judging came, and then awarding followed. Announcing the 3rd placer, it was given to me. As I went up the stage, I couldn't help out but exclaimed "Yes!"

My very first victory. Out of pure determination and faith to God. It wouldn't be possible if I hadn't given the worn-out pastels a try.
